About the Artist

Silvy is a 29 year old non-binary illustrator, who has been posting their work in online spaces since the mid-2000s.

Having first accessed the Internet in the late 90s via their SEGA Dreamcast; Silvy has since been deeply immersed in online spaces and communities since. Connecting with people fuelled their desire to create and share, eventually piecing together their own style heavily inspired by y2k media and aesthetics along with mid-2000s to early 2010s fanartists.

They graduated from the University of Central Lancashire in 2018 with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art and Integrated Media; focusing on the transformative nature of fanworks in online spaces. Since graduating they have continued to do what they love; creating and sharing online.
